At Animal Health Care Denver, we believe that it’s our job to treat your pets with as much attention and care as you do, paired with an unmatched level of expertise in veterinary care and medicine. With that in mind, we have a set of procedures in place to ensure that we know everything we need to know about your pet when you visit for the very first time.
Either before your first visit or once you arrive, we’ll ask you to fill out a New Client form on behalf of your pet (or pets). You can find the form online to fill out in advance, but you’re also welcome to fill it out at the office when you arrive for your first appointment. This form allows us to learn basic info about your pet, including its breed (if known), medical history, and more. This provides us a baseline to start from before the first examination.
You should also make sure to bring any medical documents from your pet’s past to the first appointment, including medical records, vaccination documentation, and anything else that will help our veterinary staff know where your pet stands in its journey of health.
At your pet’s first visit, we’ll conduct a nose-to-tail examination to get a complete picture of your pet’s health. We hope this will be the beginning of a long and successful relationship between us, you, and your pet that will include regular check-ups each year as well as any necessary care that may pop up along the way.
We hope to be there for you during every stage of your pet’s life, from brand-new pup or kitten to senior pet and all of the unique needs that come between.
Missed Appointment Policy
Our goal is to provide quality veterinary care to all our patients in a timely manner. We understand that sometimes, unexpected delays and conflicts arise, making schedule adjustments necessary. A missed appointment or late cancellation results in lost time which could have been given to another patient waiting for care. Please be aware of our late cancellation and no-show policy.
When you schedule your appointment, we are holding space on our calendar, making it no longer available to our other patients. We require a credit card to guarantee your appointment time. If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call no later than 5pm the day prior to your appointment to allow another patient access to that appointment time. Not cancelling an appointment will result in a $35 no show fee being charged to your credit card.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us at (303) 288-6800 between the hours of 7am - 6pm, Monday thru Friday, and 8am - 4pm on Saturday. If necessary, you may leave a detailed voicemail. We will return your call as soon as possible.
Located in the North Washington suburb of Denver. The hospital is directly off of exit 216 on I-25 and between E 68th Ave and E 66th Ave on Washington St.
Appointments are available between 8:30am - 5:00pm from Monday - Friday.
